The Miami Dolphins signed 10 of their 13 selections from the 2026 NFL Draft on Tuesday after creating more than $21 million in salary cap space through post-June 1 transactions. At that time, only first-round picks Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) and Chris Johnson (San Diego State), along with fifth-round selection Seydou Traore (Mississippi State), remained unsigned.
On Wednesday, the Dolphins finalized contracts with both Proctor and Johnson, officially bringing their first-round picks under contract. As
of this writing, there have been no reports regarding the status of Traore’s deal.
Proctor has been working with the first-team offense at left guard during mandatory minicamp, a position he is expected to occupy entering his rookie season despite playing tackle throughout his collegiate career. Meanwhile, Johnson has reportedly made a strong early impression in Jeff Hafley’s revamped defense, highlighted by an interception during last week’s OTA practices.
If Miami hopes to accelerate its rebuilding process, early contributions from its top two selections in the 2026 draft class could prove invaluable. Based on initial reports from offseason workouts, the Dolphins have reason to be encouraged by the early development of both Proctor and Johnson.
