Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we are talking about Mizzou Wrestling. (Editor’s note: WHAT?!? No football?!? Blasphemy!)
After a memorable (for the wrong reasons) season from Mizzou wrestling, it announced its 2025-26 schedule on Tuesday, highlighted by matchups against Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
The Tigers finished last season 5-10 after going 10-4 in 2023-24. They’ll look to rebound back to the program
they once were.
The team returns redshirt junior Cam Stead and sophomore Gage Walker, but loses their star, Keegan O’Toole. O’Toole is a two-time NCAA champion (2021-2023) and was the face of Mizzou wrestling for five seasons. Now he joins the coaching ranks.
The team will have to look to new faces this season as they try to adapt into the post-O’Toole era.

You know what I won’t forget? Pribula snapping off a touchdown throw to Jamal Roberts while falling to the turf. Damon Wilson, Zion Young, and Khalil Jacobs barreling into the Ragin’ Cajun backfield like wild animals. Ahmad Hardy puttin’ the team on his back do. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads – they all adore him. They think he’s a righteous dude.
Josh gives this team some justice here. Mizzou, even though handing off the ball a lot, has been a fun team to watch through the first two weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep it up through SEC play.
The thing about this series of images that you need to know is that it takes place over the distance of 10 yards. So over the course of about a second, Hardy runs 10 yards with four guys in his direct proximity before they manage to drag him down. I don’t care how fast and strong you are, those guys are working to get you down. 18/20
Ahmad Hardy makes one person look like half a person, and two people look like 3/4 of a person. This guy is crazy. Let’s see him play some SEC competition.
Mizzou is 3-0, but they’re not perfect by any means – and no team is at this point of the season. Even in the 42-31 win over kansas, Jayhawks quarterback Jalon Daniels made some big plays against the Tigers’ defensive secondary. That’s an area Missouri will need to improve on as they get ready to face some high-level SEC quarterbacks.
Sellers will be a good test for Mizzou, but who knows if he’s even playing. I think John Mateer will be the hardest QB that the Tigers face in the SEC this season.
On Beau Pribula: “I think you can tell he’s settled in. He’s been able to improvise and make some plays on his own; I think he’s got to continue to grow. Obviously, the pressure in the pocket’s got to be something we’ve got to clean up for him, the ability to throw the ball away and not take sacks.”
I am a big fan of how every time, no matter what it’s about, Eli Drinkwitz always has something you can work on. This dude is never satisfied and it seems to be helping.
Over at Rock M+ we have more Mizzou football discussion in forums ahead of kickoff against KU.
