Mountain West Rankings
This week for Chris Murray, UNLV stays at #1, while San Diego State moves up to the second spot. Boise State moves up as well because Fresno State drops from 2 to 4 following their loss. Hawaii and New Mexico stand pat, and Wyoming rises to 7th, while the Spartans drop to 9th. In between, Utah State remains at #8, and Air Force does the same at #10. Lastly, Colorado State (#11) and Nevada (#12) switch places this week.
Athlon Bowl Projections
In this week’s version, there aren’t a ton of changes. Athlon still has Boise State in the LA Bowl and Utah State in the Potato Bowl. Once again, Hawaii stays home in the Hawaii Bowl, and Fresno State goes to the First Responder’s Bowl. San Diego State moves from the Frisco Bowl to the Arizona Bowl, and UNLV remains in the New Mexico Bowl. This means they have finally dismissed the dream of San Jose State going bowling and the Mountain West is back down to six teams.
