Confidence Level
The Avalanche lost their first postseason game in game three of this series, and because fans hadn’t
tasted the bitter taste of defeat until then, I wanted to gauge whether and how their confidence had changed.
As you can see, the majority of fans aren’t that fickle and have just as much confidence in this club as they did heading into the round.
The Woodshed
We wondered if the Avalanche would make a switch in net after Scott Wedgewood was chased from game three. At the time, those who voted wanted to see Wedgewood get the nod.
It was, in fact, MacKenzie Blackwood, and he secured the game four victory!
Due for a Night
The Avalanche saw breakout performances from Parker Kelly, Nicolas Roy, Ross Colton, and Logan O’Connor in game four, but we were hoping it would be Val Nichushkin’s breakout night.
Let’s see if we get a solid showing from Big Val tonight in game five. He has shown himself to be among the most productive players in the playoffs in the past, so it’s not ridiculous to think that Nichushkin can go on a bit of a tear.
I still want Martin Necas to shoot the puck more.
Series Prediction
Well, here it is, the elimination game we’ve all been waiting for! The question is, how and when will this series end?
Are the Avalanche destined to get over a little hump and finally eliminate someone on home ice, or will the anticipation and pressure be too much?
Do the Wild have what it takes to push this series to six or even seven games? Fans say Avs in 5.
