Michigan, Nebraska, Michigan State and Illinois all earned an automatic spot in the quarterfinals on Friday for their play during the regular season. As the top seed in the tournament — and the regular-season champs — Michigan will play first at noon ET. The next game will begin
roughly 30 minutes following the conclusion of Michigan’s game, and so on and so forth.
Below the top-four in the conference are the teams that received a single-round bye and will play their first game of the tournament on Thursday. Those games are:
- No. 5 Wisconsin vs the winner of No. 12 Washington and No. 13 USC
- No. 6 UCLA vs the winner of No. 11 Minnesota vs No. 14 Rutgers
- No. 7 Purdue vs the winner of No. 10 Indiana, which will take on the winner of No. 15 Northwestern and No. 18 Penn State
- No. 8 Ohio State vs the winner of No. 9 Iowa, which will take on the winner of No. 16 Oregon and No. 17 Maryland
All the lower-seeded teams above will play on Tuesday to kickoff the tournament. The next four games will tip-off on Wednesday on Big Ten Network, with the winners of those games advancing to play the next batch of teams on Thursday. All this will culminate in the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game on Sunday, which will be aired on CBS.
