What is the story about?
It was good to see the Phillies patient approach at the plate from August return, if only for a night. The team drew a season high 13 walks against the Nationals bullpen game. Unfortunately, you still have to drive those baserunners in somehow, as despite the platoon of baserunners, the Phillies only managed to score three runs thanks to a lackluster performance with runners in scoring position. They accomplished the first part of consistent offense in getting runners on base. They’re still working
on the second part.
