Maryland women’s lacrosse has had a sensational start to the 2026 season, and that has been recognized by those across the sport.
The Terps beat the then-No. 12 and No. 13 teams in the country by a combined score of 26-14 over the first two weeks of their season, and that dominance has seen them rise from No. 7 to No. 6 to their current No. 3 spot in the IWLCA poll.
The Terps sit behind only Stanford and last season’s national champions
North Carolina. They have two more games this week, against Georgetown and Saint Joseph’s, to consolidate that ranking.
