We’ve almost reached the quarter mark of the 2026 NFL season, and we’re starting to see the contenders separate from the pretenders. Sure, there are still teams that we’re very skeptical of (see: Las Vegas Raiders) and teams most expect to turn things around a bit (Houston Texans?), but for the most part, we’re starting to get a handle on where things could be headed this year.
But Week 4 is a chance for some teams to buck those trends. There’s so much football left, and as we enter October, this
is when some teams could shift the dynamics of the league. The Cleveland Browns already showed that they shouldn’t be doubted with a statement win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Which team will be next?
Will the Raiders prove their legitimacy with a win over the Chiefs? Can the Jets avoid a third straight loss to the NFC North? How will the Rams respond to their 1-2 start when matched up with an Eagles team also fighting through some adversity right now? And can the Texans pull out of their spiral against the neighboring Dallas Cowboys?
