Each Spring, college football fans get together and take out their rivals in an off-field competition- The Every Day Should Be Saturday (EDSBS) Charity Bowl.
The last couple of years Syracuse Orange fans have stepped up big to push the Orange above a lot of our ACC rivals and even though the 2025 season didn’t go well, we can get 2026 started with some good vibes.
For those who aren’t familiar with the EDSBS Charity Bowl, it’s an opportunity to prove that schools are better than their rivals while
benefiting the New American Pathways programs for refugees. Brought to you by the good folks behind the Shutdown Fullcast podcast, it’s a chance to take the passion of college football and channel it into something good.
The EDSBS Charity Bowl kicks off on Monday, April 20 and will run through Friday, April 24.
Donate to New American Pathways in the name of your favorite college football team to climb to the top of the leaderboard and win bragging rights as the most generous team in the nation.
You know the game: make a donation in the name of your school or team. Your donations should take the form of the score of a victory by your morally superior and physically better team over a depraved, uncharitable and weaker rival.
New Game Format for 2026!
In honor of the 20th edition of the Charitibundi Bowl, we’re returning the contest to its college football roots with a pre-set field of teams. This field will consist of all 138 schools scheduled to field FBS programs in 2026, a handful of mid-major schools with longstanding community ties to the Charity Bowl, and a few legacy programs that are, strictly speaking, imaginary. You can view the full list of eligible teams for 2026 here.
There is no minimum donation amount necessary as every bit helps, but here are some potential Syracuse related donation amounts for this year would be:
- $44- obviously
- $20.89 – Steve Angeli’s passing yards before his injury
- $34 21 – Syracuse’s win at Clemson
- $52- Fran Brown’s Syracuse winning percentage
- $60- Antonie Deslauriers combined tackles
The 2026 EDSBS Charity Bowl will kick off (football term) on Monday morning, April 20, at 10 a.m. ET, with regular updates to follow on the New American Pathways Bluesky feed and Instagram grid. The game officially concludes on Friday evening, April 24 (although we have been known to extend the contest into the weekend in pursuit of stretch goals).
