2 CJI vets earn ADCC 2026 invites after winning ADCC EMEA Trials

ADCC Trials season has official begun. After three iterations in the US, the ADCC 2026 world championships will now be hosted in Krakow, Poland, and five grapplers have secured invites to the event.

The first trials event of this season has kicked off this weekend with the ADCC European, Middle East & African Trials (ADCC EMEA Trials) in Warsaw, Poland. 316 Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) athletes from the region signed up for the professional divisions, with the five male gold medalists coming out on top

to earn the first five invites to ADCC 2026.

Several big names have joined, but CJI 2 veterans have stood out to win two of the first five ADCC 2026 invites.

Declan Moody, a hammer from Team Australasia at CJI 2, continued his impressive run as he won five matches and landed three submissions to win gold at the -99 kg division. In the final, Moody submitted another CJI 2 vet in Marcin Maciulewicz.

The B-Team standout has won CJI 2 Trials and now ADCC Trials this year.

Pawel Jaworski, who won CJI 2 Trials to make it to Team Europe, ran through another tough bracket to earn his spot at ADCC 2026. The 21-year-old Polish grappler won six matches, beating the likes of Santeri Lilius and Tarik Hopstock to win gold at -88 kg.

The 77 kg was by far the most stacked, with a division that had Oliver Taza, Jed Hue, and UFC BJJ vet Davis Asare among others. Beating out those names in a division with 82 competitors though, was Dagestani grappler Magomed Dzharbaev, who won his rematch with New Wave’s Taza in the final.

The two others earning slots for ADCC 2026 were Nikodem Mikuliszyn at 66 kg and Mark Macqueen at +99 kg.

There were Women’s divisions that were hosted too, but these results will only be used for seeding as the official ADCC 2026 slots for women will only be handed on the second ADCC EMEA Trials event. Ana Mayordomo, who was just announced to be joining UFC BJJ 3, won gold at 55 kg.
