Football is a violent game, a collision sport full of athletes who are getting bigger, stronger, and faster, with protective equipment only able to do so much. For teams, like the Cleveland Browns, injury luck (or lack thereof) is one of many variables that can dramatically impact the outcome of a game, a season, or even a couple of seasons.

Browns fans have had a lot of reasons to bemoan the fortunes of their franchise. Poor NFL draft decisions, constant turnover
in the front office and coaching staffs, big free agents flopping upon joining the team, random drama, and a whole lot of losses piling up in the record books.
Injuries have been a piece of the issues in Cleveland since “The Return” in 1999. A few jump to mind very quickly:
- RB Nick Chubb – Knee
- OL LeCharles Bentley – Knee, staph infection
- CB Gary Baxter – Both knees
- WR Joe Jurevicius – Knee, staph infection
- WR Odell Beckham Jr. – Knee
Of note, four of those five were veteran additions brought in through NFL free agency or a trade.
Today’s Question of the Day pulls us in a negative direction. We know Browns fans here on DBN have great memories of events, players, games, coaches, and even individual plays. While there are five listed above, there are likely far more stored in your memory banks. So…
Which Browns player was robbed of a great career because of injury?
