The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that rookie quarterback Will Howard has returned to practice, thus beginning the 21-day window Pittsburgh has to activate him from IR. Should the Steelers not activate him within
the next three weeks, Howard will stay on IR for the remainder of the season.
The sixth-round pick out of Ohio State broke a bone in his hand during training camp, which led to him missing all of the preseason. Howard led the Ohio State Buckeyes to the 2024 National Championship, where they defeated Notre Dame.
