Real Madrid academy product Jacobo Ortega is set to join French side Strasbourg for 10 million euros, according to a recent report from MARCA.
The French club will pay that sum for 70% of the player’s rights, and the player will travel to France for a medical examination soon, as well as to officially sign the contract.
This move would then become the most expensive Castilla sale for a player who has never played for the first team, according to the report, which is quite impressive.
Ortega spent most
of his time playing for Real Madrid’s C team before playing the last few fixtures alongside the Castilla team that was very close to making the play-off final last time around.
He was also involved in the Youth League campaign, playing a very important role.
As good as Ortega is, there is no space for the forward at Real Madrid, which is why a move is the best decision for a talented player like him.
