When he had his interview at the NFL combine, the Raiders had Brady on the phone to greet Mendoza. He now has the honor of being the team’s quarterback; his hero has become a minority owner.
Mendoza got another honor from his hero that was revealed on Saturday. Brady was at a fanatic fest in New
York City, and he pulled out a special card from his pocket. It was an autographed rookie card of Fernando Mendoza. It was Mendoza’s first autograph in the NFL, and Brady put in a bid to attain it.
