The Las Vegas Raiders star tight end was off to a hot start vs the New England Patriots. Through two and a half quarters of the game, he recorded 103 yards on five receptions with three explosive plays. His last explosive play ended up being his last play of the game as he left with a knee injury.
Bowers did not practice on Thursday and Friday, and there is a chance he might not be able to go Monday Night. Saturday, Bowers hit the practice field and will be listed as questionable heading into the team’s
home opener.
Pete Carroll was asked about Bowers after Saturday’s practice and is confident that Bowers will suit up on Monday.
“Yeah. He looked terrific today.”
It will be a lovely birthday present for Carroll to have his superstar tight end help him win against one of his rivals. It will be interesting to see how much the lingering injury affects Bowers on the field.
