Barcelona are moving forward with their plan to sign World Cup winner Rodri from Manchester City after receiving the midfielder’s green light for the transfer, according to Gerard Romero of Jijantes.
Barça made contact with Rodri’s camp and with Man City to express their interest after watching
the negotiations with Real Madrid hit a roadblock, and Rodri gave his OK to Barça’s project after speaking directly with Hansi Flick.
The club will now prepare an official offer to sign the Spain captain and World Cup Golden Ball winner, with Man City signaling they are willing to negotiate a fee in the region of 60-70 million euros.
Barça want to seal the deal for Rodri as quickly as possible so they can once again focus on their pursuit of Julián Álvarez as their main striker target, so expect a resolution on Rodri’s case sooner rather than later.
