Kentucky basketball forward Trent Noah made a strong statement in his return Friday, proving he’s fully back after missing two straight games with an ankle injury.
The sharp-shooting wing originally went
down in the season opener against Nicholls State, sidelining him for matchups against Valparaiso and Louisville. But against Eastern Illinois, Noah picked up right where he left off and then some.
Coming off the bench, Noah delivered a great first half for the team as Kentucky rolled to a 99–53 victory. He finished the game with eight points on 3/6 shooting, including 2/5 from 3-point land, while adding three rebounds, two steals, and one block in 22 minutes.
Even more impressive, Noah posted a +25 plus/minus, showcasing his impact well beyond scoring.
His energy and spacing immediately elevated the offense, while his activity on the defensive end helped Kentucky maintain control throughout the night. For a team dealing with early-season injuries and rotating lineups, Noah’s return adds much-needed depth, shooting, and toughness.
If this performance is any indication, Noah is ready to reclaim a key role in Kentucky’s rotation as the schedule ramps up. Let’s hope that continues Tuesday against the Michigan State Spartans.
