MMA Fighting has UFC Vegas 124 results for the Cortes-Acosta vs. Walker fight card, a live blog of the top two fights, and more from Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
In the main event, Waldo Cortes-Acosta squares off against Johnny Walker in a heavyweight contest. Cortes-Acosta—the No. 8 at heavyweight in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings—vaulted into the contender picture with eight wins in nine appearances, but now finds himself on a two-fight skid after losses to Curtis Blaydes and Alexander
Volkov. Walker makes a quick turnaround after successful jump up from light heavyweight in October at UFC 332, where he knocked out Mick Parkin.
Strawweight contenders Tatiana Suarez (3) and Virna Jandiroba (2) battle to stay at the front of the title picture in the co-main event.
