Bayern still has Vušković on its radar (TEAMtalk)
Brighton & Hove Albion center-back Luka Vušković spent last season impressing everyone in Germany while on loan at Hamburger SV — including Bayern Munich.
Of course, timing is everything, and the Bavarians were not in a position to spend (relatively) big on a center-back last summer. Vušković returned to Tottenham Hotspur and was subsequently sold to Brighton in a deal that looks like an absolute steal.
Now, the elites are calling — Bayern Munich, Chelsea FC, and FC Barcelona are all reportedly interested
in the 19-year-old. Timing, though, could be an issue for the Bavarians once again:
Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are all interested in signing a superstar-in-waiting who Tottenham might already regret selling, TEAMtalk can reveal. Luka Vuskovic continues to attract attention from Europe’s leading clubs despite only joining Brighton & Hove Albion a few months ago.
Bayern Munich are among the clubs monitoring his progress most closely. The Bundesliga champions tracked the defender during his time in Germany and were interested in him before his move to Brighton.
Sources suggest Vušković would be open to a future switch to the Allianz Arena, and there is a history of contact between the two. However, Bayern are not in a position to pursue him immediately. Their centre-back options currently include Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Kim Min-jae and Hiroki Ito. Only the sale of one or more of those players (most likely Kim or Ito) would create both the squad space and required for a serious move.
Chelsea and Barcelona are also keeping a close eye on the situation sources state. Both clubs have been named in as watching the Croatia international, with interest framed around a potential move next summer.
Bayern Munich will probably not make any moves for center-backs as long as the aforementioned quartet remains in place. However, there could be a call to action if there is not improved play or at least better availability from the group. Upamecano is as solid as a rock, but Tah has not been great this season. Kim was doing well, but has had a few down performances and is hurt again. Itō, meanwhile, seems to have suffered a drop-off after dealing with multiple foot injuries.
While any moves for a central defender do, indeed, seem like a long shot right now, a lot can happen between now and the summer transfer window. While it would be odd for Brighton to flip the Croatian, crazier things have happened.
Martínez likely out at United per report (ESPN)
It looks like Lisandro Martínez has greased the pathway for his exit from Manchester United:
Manchester United defender Lisandro Martínez is set to leave the club at the end of the season, according to The Daily Mail. Last week, Martinez, 28, criticized the United hierarchy over their recent record in the transfer market and later apologized, but the Argentina international’s future has now been cast into serious doubt.
Another Karl on the way? (Sport Bild’s Julian Agardi)
Vincent Karl, brother of Lennart Karl, could be following in the same footsteps as big bro:
Vincent #Karl (13), the younger brother of Lennart Karl, is leaving Eintracht #Frankfurt’s NLZ and joining Viktoria #Aschaffenburg. This is exactly the same step that Lennart Karl took in January 2022, to transfer to FC #Bayern half a year later. @BILD
Porro still pondering LaLiga move (ESPN)
Pedro Porro is reportedly looking for an exit from Tottenham Hotspur:
Tottenham Hotspur right back Pedro Porro would “seriously consider” a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid, reports Football Insider. Despite signing a contract extension until 2031, the 27-year-old is enticed by the prospect of competing for trophies and playing in the Champions League in Spain.
He can’t keep getting away with this! (Opta Franz)
Niclas Füllkrug just keeps going and cannot be stopped at Werder Bremen:
6 & 8 – Niclas Füllkrug scored in his sixth consecutive Bundesliga match; prior to this, the only other Werder Bremen player to achieve this was Rudi Völler in the 1982–83 season (who actually scored in seven straight matches). Furthermore, only Völler (1985–86) scored as many goals for the Green-Whites in the first seven matchdays of a Bundesliga season as Füllkrug did in 2026–27 (8 each).
Streak.
Barca, Real, Chelsea, LFC, PSG all waiting to pounce on Sullivan (ESPN)
There are quite a few clubs hoping that Manchester City implodes and Philadelphia Union wunderkind Cavan Sullivan becomes available:
Barcelona are among several major European clubs tracking Philadelphia Union midfielder Cavan Sullivan, according to Sport. Although the USMNT international previously signed a pre-contract agreement to join Manchester City when he turns 18, uncertainty around City’s financial sanctions has alerted Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
