I don’t think we see enough heated rivalries in the Bundesliga, but the return of the Hamburg derby this season has been one everyone is looking forward to.
We get the return leg of the derby between St.
Pauli and Hamburg this evening. St. Pauli claimed all three points in a 2-0 win last time round, but since then St. Pauli have sunk without a trace and now find themselves bottom of the table with just 12 points. Hamburg only have five more points than St. Pauli but they have shown plenty of life and will fancy themselves to claim some bragging rights tonight.
Predicting Ball sees a draw as the most likely outcome tonight, at 35.9%, but only barely, with a Hamburg win given a 35.1% probability (while a St. Pauli win is not that far behind on 29%). Elsewhere, there are a few mismatches, but Bayern Munich versus Augsburg takes the cake. Predicting Ball giving Augsburg a 2.6% probability of a win… So there’s a chance.
