So full disclosure: we recorded this before the Sassuolo game. And our collective emotional state was considerably lower. We were, in fact, struggling with our feelings. The podcast reflects that because, in hindsight, we were a little bit grim about Fiorentina’s prospects going forward. That’s apparent in pretty much everything we discussed.
What did we discuss? Well, we ran through the recent history, picking our standouts (big dogs, boneheads, et cetera) before considering some tactical and statistical
stuff which, in hindsight, probably doesn’t matter as much after Fiorentina got its wait a minute second? That can’t be right, can it? Second win of the season? Okay, yeah, maybe we weren’t entirely wrong in being ruffled. That Relegation Percent-O-Meter still resembles the Doomsday Clock.
On the plus side, we got a wonderful McMike milestone, some unexpectedly terse Producer Mike analysis, and Tito completely failing to throw to an advertisement correctly. Thank you as always to Sport Social Podcast Network for hosting us and to Windchime Weather for the music. And as always, we hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making this. You could leave a rating and review if you want, but whatever.
