The wait is nearly over. Seattle Seahawks rookies have reported, veterans are preparing to join them, and Seattle’s 2026 training camp is set to begin.
With football returning, so are the questions that could shape the upcoming season.
On the latest episode of The Hawks Eye Podcast, I count down my Top 20 Most Intriguing Seahawks entering training camp. This is not simply a ranking of the best players on Seattle’s roster; being one of the team’s most talented or established players does not automatically
make someone one of the most interesting names to follow this summer.
Instead, my list focuses on uncertainty, opportunity, development, and overall importance to Seattle’s season.
There is second-year quarterback Jalen Milroe, who’s entering a critical stage of his development after barely playing last season, with every training camp rep potentially influencing how Seattle views its future at the position. There’s also a veteran, now two-time Super Bowl champion pass-catcher whose experience is unquestioned, but whose exact role within the offense remains one of the more fascinating questions heading into camp.
On defense, I examine second-year d-lineman Rylie Mills, now fully healthy but facing increased expectations after showing signs that he could become a much larger part of Seattle’s front.
The rookie class provides another layer of intrigue. Jadarian Price could have an immediate opportunity to earn meaningful touches, while second-round pick Bud Clark will enter a crowded secondary with a chance to carve out a role through his safety/corner versatility and special teams.
Those are only a few of the storylines covered during the countdown. Training camp has a way of changing how we view a roster. A strong week of practice can move a young player into the rotation. An impressive preseason performance can turn a roster long shot into a legitimate contributor. A returning veteran can prove that concerns about health, age or role were overstated.
Seattle is also entering camp with championship expectations on the back of a magical Lombardi Trophy winning 2025 campaign. The Seahawks are no longer trying to establish themselves as contenders, they are determining which players can help them remain among the NFL’s elite and make another Super Bowl run.
The complete episode is available now on The Hawks Eye Podcast. Watch the countdown and let me know in the comments which Seahawk would be No. 1 on your list!
