We are only a few days away from the Kentucky Wildcats hosting the Tennessee Volunteers at Kroger Field as the Cats look to get back on track against a potent Vols offense.
After a fairly healthy injury
report last week, the first report tonight is full of Cats.
Most notable is the return of DJ Waller to the report. After reaggravating his injury in pregame warmups against Texas, Waller has been listed as doubtful three days removed from kickoff. He is also joined by Seth McGowan (questionable), Fred Farrier (questionable), Willie Rodriguez (probable), Josh Kattus (probable), and Kahlil Saunders (probable).
Troy Stellato has already been listed as out for Saturday night’s game.
For Tennessee, the big news is that linebacker Arion Carter, the team leader in tackles, is questionable to play.
Standout cornerback Jermod McCoy, who has yet to play this season after tearing his ACL in January, has already been ruled out.
Starting cornerback Rickey Gibson III has also been ruled out.
If the Cats hope to pull off the upset on Saturday night, they are going to need some huge upgrades on the injury report to keep up with the Volunteers’ offense. It will be something to watch closely as the rest of the week continues.
