The 2026 World Cup is finally underway, and while Italy won’t be participating, Juventus will still have a few representatives spread across the tournament.
That got me wondering about something a little more Juventus-specific: Which player actually has the most to gain from a strong World Cup?
There are a few different ways to think about it. Maybe it’s a player who could use a reputation boost after an inconsistent season. Maybe it’s someone whose transfer value could change dramatically with a strong
tournament. Or maybe it’s a younger player who has a chance to introduce himself to a much larger audience over the next month.
You could probably make a case for several different players depending on how you define “gain.” A veteran player might be able to strengthen his standing within the squad. A younger player might be able to accelerate his development. Someone linked with a move away could potentially increase the club’s leverage in transfer negotiations.
I don’t think there’s necessarily a wrong answer here, which is part of what makes it interesting.
So let’s hear it.
Today’s BWRAO Question of the Day is:
Which Juventus player has the most to gain from a strong World Cup?
