Barcelona defender Jofre Torrents is being tipped to leave the club in the summer transfer window and spend the 2026-27 season out on loan.
The Catalans are thinking about a loan so that the youngster can continue his development and enjoy some regular football, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Ajax have emerged as a potential destination for Torrents with Michel’s side looking for a left-sided defender for the new campaign.
Torrents has been tipped to be Barcelona’s left-back of the future but had a tricky
season last time out. He made four first-team appearances for Hansi Flick’s side but was sidelined for three months with an ankle injury.
Barcelona are hoping to have Alejandro Balde and Joao Cancelo as their left-back options for next season, with Gerard Martin also available, meaning Torrents may struggle for first team opportunities if he does stay.
A move to Ajax may therefore appeal to the 19-year-old, although the report states a final decision hasn’t yet been made on his future.
