The Wisconsin Badgers are facing off against the Central Michigan Chippewas on Monday, looking to get back on track after losing consecutive games for the first time this season. Tip-off is set for 7:00 P.M. on Big Ten Network.
In what felt like a needed win for the Badgers’ resume, Wisconsin fell short in a 76-66 loss to the Villanova Wildcats last Friday, coming up short in overtime after a nice comeback effort.
Nolan Winter was the star in that one with another double-double, but the Badgers didn’t
get much production outside of their main trio of him, John Blackwell, and Nick Boyd. The bench had only two points, while Wisconsin’s inconsistencies offensively showed up once again, despite an improved defensive performance.
The 7-4 start marks Wisconsin’s worst since 2019, as the Badgers just haven’t been able to stack quality performances on both sides of the ball.
Monday could be that opportunity as Wisconsin faces a Central Michigan team that has gone 4-8 to start the season, including 0-6 on the road. Central Michigan has had some really bad losses and hasn’t been a great team on either side of the ball, ranking 324th in KenPom.
The Badgers are near 30-point favorites heading into the game, which is their second-to-last before the new year. Can they get back on track with a dominant win?
