Barcelona summer signing Rodri
has taken little time to settle into life at his new club and is already a regular fixture in Hansi Flick’s starting XI.The Spain star is also playing an important role off the pitch, particularly when it comes to helping Lamine Yamal, according to Catalunya Radio.
Rodri “has become one of the most important teammates for Lamine Yamal” and “acts as a bit of a tutor for him,” per the report.
Yamal knows Rodri well from his time with the Spain national team and is said
to be always willing to listen to the midfielder’s advice.
The two players are also said to be often seen eating together at the club alongside Alejandro Balde and Rodri’s former Manchester City team-mates Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo.
Rodri’s influence is also said to extend past Yamal and across the entire dressing room.
The World Cup winner is already seen as almost one of the team’s captains and is also happy to share his ideas and thoughts with Hansi Flick and his coaching staff.
