Earlier this week, a handful of competing rumours linking Alexis Mac Allister with a potential move away from Liverpool this summer came to our attention. One had the 27-year-old Argentine being targeted by Galatasaray and the other had Manchester City eying him as a Rodri replacement.
Both rumours raised our eyebrows, to put it mildly. The Galatasaray ones because it’s hard to see Mac Allister wanting to make a move to the Turkish Super Lig his big money prime age switch. The City ones because why
would Liverpool consider selling to City unless the fee on offer was preposterous.
Today, though, Mac Allister’s father was asked about the possibility of a summer move, and he ruled out any change of clubs for his son in the 2026 summer window at the very least—be they a potential move to Turkey, to Manchester, or even to Real Madrid should they come calling late.
“Alexis will stay at Liverpool, and we have not discussed any possibility of him leaving the club this summer,” Carlos Mac Allister told WinWin when pressed on his son’s short-term future by the South Sudanese (we think?) betting company (things really are pretty fucking weird in 2026, aren’t they?).
So. Anyhow. Alexis Mac Allister isn’t going to be joining Galatasaray, then. Or Manchester City. Though honestly we could have told you either previously. He probably also won’t be going to Madrid. At least not this summer. At least unless they ask I mean if they did it’s Real Madrid lads anyhow.
