TNA is setting up for a huge week. Impact debuts on AMC for Thursday, January 15, then TNA hits PPV for Genesis on Saturday, January 17. Several matches were added to the shows through events taking place
on the latest episode of Impact (Jan. 8, 2025).
The current lineup for the Impact debut on AMC includes:
- TNA World Championship: Frankie Kazarian (c) vs. Mike Santana
- X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Myron Reed
- Knockouts Tag Team Championship: The IInspiration (c) vs. Elegance Brand
- Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, & Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali & Great Hands
The current lineup for the Genesis PPV includes:
- TNA World Championship: TBD vs. TBA
- Knockouts Championship: Lei Ying Lee (c) vs. Dani Luna
- TNA World Tag Team Championship: Hardys (c) vs. Righteous
- X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Cedric Alexander vs. Moose
- The Final Dance: Johnny Dango Curtis vs. Eddie Edwards
- Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali
- AJ Francis vs. Rich Swann
- Say his name, and Joe Hendry will appear
The world title picture is the big news. Frankie Kazarian versus Mike Santana is official for Impact. Santino Marella made it clear that Santana will head to the back of the line if he loses. That would also mean Santino might call in Trick Williams from NXT for a shot at Genesis. If Santana wins, then it is likely that Kaz gets his rematch at the PPV. On top of this, Nic Nemeth is looming with the Call Your Shot trophy. He threatened to cash in to take advantage of the worn down winner on AMC.
The Hardys have two matches on tap next week. The Righteous crossed the line with their spooky shrine of the Hardy family, so Matt wants to delete them from TNA. Even though the the Righteous insist they aren’t enemies, the Hardys are willing to put up the tag titles to get this bout.
Elijah and Mustafa Ali are enemies. Just look at how terrified Ali is being chased by Elijah on horseback. They will settle the grudge at Genesis. For Impact, Elijah will have some help from the Hardys in six-man action against Order 4. This also marks the in-ring return of Elijah from injury.
In the Knockouts division, Dani Luna’s violence toward Lei Ying Lee paid off for a title bout. Luna choked the champ out cold to stand tall with the strap. For tag team action, the Elegance Brand get another crack at gold by challenging the IInspiration. Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee previously won the tag titles from Heather and M.
