It’s time for another Seahawks Reacts survey!
The Seattle Seahawks are set to face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round for a third time. Week 1 saw the 49ers win 17-13 at Lumen Field on a late Jake Tonges touchdown and a Nick Bosa strip-sack of Sam Darnold. Bosa ain’t gonna be a part of any Seahawks-49ers games until next season, but Tonges will be a starting TE with George Kittle out with an Achilles tear. The Week 18 rematch in Santa Clara ended with the Seahawks winning 13-3 in a game not nearly as close as the score indicated. Seattle won the NFC West and the No. 1 seed, hence this rubber match is at Lumen Field.
For this week, we are skipping the confidence poll because there’s no point in doing it again after a bye. Instead, our first question is a Seahawks vs. 49ers score prediction. Seattle won by 10 points last time out, so will the ‘Hawks equal or better that margin of victory in the rematch, or will the game be closer? If the 49ers win, will it be as close as Week 1 or will they exact revenge and also win by double digits?
The more loaded question concerns what happens if the Seahawks lose. Even the most optimistic fan probably did not envision a 14-3 record and the top seed in the NFC. And yet, the Seahawks also haven’t won a playoff game since 2019, and it would sting for the best Seahawks team we’ve seen since 2013 to get bounced early. Seattle would also be facing a third consecutive playoff exit to a division rival.
Would you consider the season a failure if the Seahawks didn’t at least win this playoff game? Or do you believe that even getting to the top spot in the NFC makes this season a success in year two under Mike Macdonald? Make your voice heard in the survey below!
We’ll see you Saturday afternoon for the full results!
