Call it a silver lining or a light at the end of the tunnel or whatever other metaphor you’d like, but at least the Green Bay Packers got a bit of encouraging news late Thursday night. According to NFL
Network’s Ian Rapoport , the team got the best news they could hope for following Parsons’ diagnosis of an ACL tear: it is apparently a clean tear, which should allow Parsons the best chance of recovering quickly and fully.
Christian Watson’s tear in January was clean as well, and he was back on the field in week 8 of this season. This news at least gives Parsons a chance to return by the start of the 2026 season, and this writer, at least, would not bet against him suiting up in the Packers’ opening week game next September.
What I might be willing to bet against is the prediction that Parsons’ defensive coordinator, Jeff Hafley, made about his superstar pass-rusher. Let’s take a look at that and much more in the final batch of Cheese Curds before Saturday’s massive game in Chicago.

Bears’ Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III ruled out vs. Packers | ESPN
The Packers have no shortage of injuries, but these two for the Bears should be very impactful to their passing game.
Ranking the Watchability of Saturday’s All-Day NFL, CFP Smorgasbord | SI.com
With three college playoff games and two NFL games on Saturday’s schedule, it’s a big day of football. But it should come as no surprise which game is #1 out of the five on the slate.
Titletown Winter Games set for Jan. 31 | Packers.com
Ever want to try some of the more niche Olympic sports? You could have a chance to do so in the Titletown District in late January. If you’re going to try curling, though, I highly recommend wearing athletic shoes and thick socks rather than heavy boots.
Packers need 8 results over final 3 weeks to get No. 1 seed in NFC playoffs | Packers Wire
The direction that Thursday’s Rams-Seahawks game went decided which of two 8-game pathways the Packers would have for the 1-seed. Both of them involve taking care of business and winning out in all of the final three games, however, but last night’s game was truly one for the ages.
