Texas Longhorns redshirt freshman quarterback Parker Livingstone is expectable to be available on Saturday against the No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, according to a report from On3’s
Pete Nakos on Tuesday.
That’s barring a setback in practice over the next three days as the 6’4, 191-pounder recovers from taking a brutal shot to the leg on a 33-yard reception early in the second quarter of Saturday’s 29-21 loss to Florida in Gainesville.
After the game, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said that Livingstone received an X-ray that was negative before the Lucas Lovejoy product returned to the field with a sleeve on his right leg, although Livingstone did not record a catch after the injury, finishing with two receptions for 47 yards.
Livingstone has 13 catches for 279 yards and three touchdowns this season, but hasn’t found the end zone since recording two touchdowns against San Jose State in the home opener last month.
