After seeing Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III agree to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Seattle Seahawks are set to lose another member of their 2022 draft class in Coby Bryant.
NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero reported Monday that Bryant is set to sign with the Chicago Bears. Fresh off his second season as one of Seattle’s starting safeties, Bryant finished the 2025 campaign with four interceptions and one forced fumble.
The Bears will reportedly sign Bryant to a 3-year, $40 million deal, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The guaranteed money is still unknown. Bryant should fill a starting spot for Chicago as their two safeties from last year became free agents this offseason.
The Seahawks have remained quiet as the legal tampering period opened. Bryant was rumored to be a player the team was attempting to resign after he emerged as a key starter for the team over the past two seasons, taking over when 2024 free agent signee Rayshawn Jenkins missed time with injury during the 2024 season. However, it appears those talks fell through, and Bryant is now set to suit up for Chicago for the foreseeable future.
