Bayern Munich made two big signing in the 2026 summer transfer window, signing both Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown for around €50 million each. Star winger Luis Díaz sat down with Sky Sport DE and discussed the former, his qualities and his welcome ability to speak Díaz’s native language, Spanish.
Asked about left back Brown, the Colombian admitted to being surprised by his qualities: “Spectacular. In the first few games, I thought: Wow! He really surprised me; he has enormous potential,” Díaz
admitted (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Then, all of a sudden, he also played in a position where I hadn’t seen him before: as a No. 10. He’s actually a full-back. That versatility gives us a big advantage. We’ve added a great player to the team. He will definitely help us move forward.”
Brown and Díaz did face each other twice last season when the former still played for Eintracht Frankfurt, but perhaps the former Liverpool FC winger could not quite see what the German full back was doing on the other side of the pitch. Now asked to play together on the same flank, Díaz’s appreciation of Brown’s qualities are hopefully an indication of a developing strong relationship on the pitch.
