Barcelona have made a new contract offer
to Robert Lewandowski for the 37-year-old to continue at the club for another season.Lewandowski is out of contract at the end of the campaign and it’s still not clear whether he will continue at Barcelona or move on.
Fabrizio Romano has an update on the situation and says that Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi has received the contract offer for another season which includes a very reduced salary.
Lewandowski is said to be “not so happy” with the offer from Barcelona,
and contract talks between the two parties are now set to continue.
There’s no detail on whether Barcelona are willing to up their offer, but Romano does say that Lewandowski also has interest from MLS, Saudi Arabia and clubs in Italy.
As things stand, Lewandowski looks closer to leaving than staying at Barcelona.
His performance levels have dipped this season and he was left out of the starting XI for Tuesday’s crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico.
