Good morning, Tottenham Hotspur fans! As we careen into another week of Premier League football action, let me issue a quick PSA: Don’t forget that Daylight Savings Time ends in the United Kingdom on Sunday
morning! For viewers in the United States, that means that the time difference between the USA and the UK is now just four hours (instead of the usual 5) and explains why the Spurs match is on at 12:30 p.m. instead of the usual 11:30 a.m. DST ends on Sunday, November 2 in the USA.
Even weirder is that there’s no early match today — we go straight to the 10a/3p games, then a late game, and then a LATE late game. Why do we do that? Sister, I just work here.
This is also the part where I would normally go into a long rant about how DST is stupid and meaningless and we should just stay on daylight time forever instead of this constant switching of clocks, but I’ve been on that soapbox too often and nobody wants to read it again.
Anyway, this is your open thread. Allons-y.
