The international break has officially reached the point where Bayern Munich fans are starting to stare at the calendar like it personally offended them.
At first, it’s fun. Germany is playing, we get to see the national team, young players get opportunities, and there’s plenty to talk about. But then the second week arrives, and suddenly you’re left wondering when the Bundesliga is coming back.
The new format does give national teams more time together, which can be useful for coaches trying to build
chemistry, install tactics, and figure out which players actually belong in their plans.
But from a club football perspective? We miss our guys.
We want to see Harry Kane scoring ridiculous goals, Michael Olise doing Michael Olise things, Aleksandar Pavlović running the midfield, and the rest of the Bayern Munich squad getting back to business.
There’s only so much international football a person can consume before their brain starts whispering, “Surely Bayern Munich plays tomorrow?”
So let’s settle this once and for all — is the new international break format too long, or is it actually just right?
Complain about it, defend it, or simply tell us how badly you miss the Bundesliga. We’re listening.
