As the Kentucky Wildcats seek their first class of 2026 commitment, another big-time prospect just joined the class.
On Saturday, top-ranked class of 2027 recruit Bruce Branch III reclassified into 2026,
according to 247 Sports’ Travis Branham.
Branham also writes that the 6-foot-7, 190-pound forward is now the No. 8 recruit in the class of 2026, while also giving an update on schools to watch for.
“Schools to monitor moving forward include Arizona, BYU, USC, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, and Louisville,” wrote Branham.
Over the summer, head coach Mark Pope, along with assistant coaches Cody Fueger and Jason Hart, watched Branch on the AAU circuit. It quickly became clear that UK was very interested in the standout prospect.
“My boy Fueger, one of my guys right now, he’s texting me almost every day. We be FaceTiming, talking. I saw him in the stands right now, that’s one of my guys,” Branch told Kentucky Sports Radio’s Zack Geoghegan.
A native of Arizona, Branch now plays for Prolific Prep in Florida and holds scholarship offers from Houston, Arizona, Kansas, Indiana, Louisville, NC State, Tennessee, UCLA, and LSU, among others.
While he doesn’t have an official scholarship offer from Kentucky, you can bet that will change very soon now that Branch is officially set to be on a college campus next year.
