Todd Blackledge recently went on some random show and answered this question. Todd said this is the best Notre Dame team of the Freeman era and basically pointed to the defense being one of the best in the nation, and CJ Carr. When it comes to Carr, his passing ability is one thing — but everything extra that he brings to the table is what really sets him and this team above the others.
