Much like the Texas A&M basketball roster, the Aggies’ schedule had to undergo a major makeover following the coaching change from Buzz Williams to Bucky McMillan. And after a smattering of leaks about non-conference matchups in recent weeks, we finally get the full Aggie basketball schedule for 2025-26 on Tuesday.
The most notable non-conference matchups are definitely Nov. 9 at Oklahoma State, Nov. 14 vs. UCF, Nov. 28 vs Florida State (same day as the Lone Star Showdown in football) and a Dec. 7 neutral site game against SMU in Arlington. The SEC slate then begins Saturday, Jan. 3, as A&M hosts LSU, and because you all want to know, the home game against Texas won’t come until Saturday, Feb. 28.
After retaining only one player from last year’s team, Bucky McMillan WENT TO WORK in the transfer portal, adding 10 players en route to the No. 20 transfer class in the country. The result is a a very intriguing A&M roster which, paired with McMillan’s unique style of play, has A&M projected in the NCAA Tournament field by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi entering Bucky’s first season in Aggieland.
