This is shaping up to be quite the week for two of Cleveland’s professional sports teams.
On Thursday night, in front of a national television audience, the Cleveland Browns will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game where the winner will end Week 4 no worse than tied for first place in the AFC North Division.
It is probably not hyperbole to say that Thursday night will be the biggest Browns game to date since the Wild Card playoff loss to the Houston Texans in 2023. If the Browns win – and they have
not lost to the Steelers at home in five years – it could set them up for a surprising season.
Then on Saturday, the Cleveland Guardians will open up their American League Division Series against either the Chicago White Sox or the Houston Astros. That is no surprise, as the Guardians have won the AL Central Division three years running and have made the playoffs in eight of the last 11 seasons.
What a time to be in Cleveland!
OK, enough about what is to come later this week. Let’s get the day rolling with the latest edition of the Daily Dawg Chow.
