Keldon Johnson is the longest-tenured member of the San Antonio Spurs. Drafted 29th overall in 2019, Keldon was the bonus draft pick that came to San Antonio along with DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl by way of Toronto when the Spurs sent Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to the Raptors.
After his first season with the Spurs (which ended in a shortened COVID bubble), Johnson made such an impression that he was invited to replace Bradley Beal on the 2020 US Men’s Olympic Basketball Team. He and Team USA
won gold.
Today, KJ turns twenty-seven.
Johnson is the team’s heart and soul. In addition, he is the locker room DJ, Silver & Black Scrimmage MC, and one of the funniest members of the squad.
Last summer, fresh off receiving the 2026 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Keldon had the opportunity to play in his first NBA postseason which took him and the Spurs all the way to the Finals. KJ is back this season looking to return to the Finals and fulfill every players ultimate dream — a Championship.
Happy birthday, KJ.
