Barcelona have made the decision to listen to offers and sell Marc Casadó if the player requests to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window, according to a new report from Cadena SER.
The club was said to be willing to accept offers of €30 million for the midfielder, and now Santi Ovalle of SER says Barça will not stand in the way of Casadó if he makes the decision to leave in search of more playing time.
Casadó’s stance has been clear from the beginning as the 21-year-old is determined
to stay and fight for his place, but he also knows the competition for minutes will be heavy with Frenkie de Jong and Pedri as the undisputed starters in his position along with Gavi, who appears to be Hansi Flick’s first backup option, and Marc Bernal, who will return the fold soon and had become a starter for Flick before his knee injury at the start of last season.
Real Betis, West Ham, Wolverhampton and Cesc Fàbregas’ Como have all been strongly linked as possible landing spots for Casadó, and the decision on his future is now entirely up to him. Barça will gladly keep him but won’t say no to a good offer, and it’s up to Casadó to choose between staying at the club even if it results in a very small role, or going somewhere else to play regular football.
