Bayern Munich and injuries…a better love story than twilight?
This has always been the case, and while this season may have been a tad bit more generous, it seems like key players are falling like flies all of a sudden. With Serge Gnabry suffering a season-ending injury that will also see him miss out on the World Cup and Raphaël Guerreiro sidelined with a hamstring injury, it seems to be getting out of hand quickly.
And now, Bayern stars Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof can be added to the list of players
who will definitely miss the first leg of the gargantuan UCL clash vs PSG with minor injuries.
According to Bild, the players are still undergoing rehab training and can be expected to miss the first leg against PSG. Both players are working to be ready for the second leg.
With the season nearing its conclusion, Bayern needs every player in the squad. The team needs its reliable young talents, and Vincent Kompany could definitely use more options, especially with Gnabry and Guerreiro out. Aside from Musiala, the squad does not have another natural no. 10 at the moment, which is what makes Lennart Karl’s loss even more difficult to manage.
Here’s to hoping the pair is available for the second leg. Kompany is running a thin squad at the moment, and things could get extremely dicey.
