Yesterday was a good day for the Tennessee Titans. The New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns all won. That leaves the Titans as the only one-win team in the NFL. It’s still an uphill battle for the Titans to get the first pick. They have the strongest strength of schedule against of any team picking in the top ten. They also still have games against the Browns and Saints.
I hate cheering against the Titans this early in the season. Hopefully, the Browns, Saints, and Jets can all
pick up a couple more wins so the Titans can as well and still end up with the number one pick. That probably won’t happen.
Today is Mock Draft Monday here at MCM. This week’s 2026 NFL mock draft at Tankathon has the Titans taking Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami, with the first overall pick. I don’t have a problem with the Titans taking Bain Jr., but they cannot take him with the first overall pick. If they end up at one, they absolutely have to trade down to add a future first-round pick.
Of note in this mock, three quarterbacks, Fernando Mendoza, Dante Moore, and Ty Simpson, all go in the first five picks. There is a rumor that Moore isn’t coming out this year, so that will be something to keep an eye on. It’s also not a slam dunk that Simpson comes out. He’s been great this year for Alabama, but this is his first year as a starter. He’ll have an interesting decision to make when the time comes.
