The NFL playoffs are here, and while we would prefer there were some… other teams playing this weekend, that doesn’t stop the fact that there should be some good, quality football in front of us. I, for one, still can’t wait to see who comes out of each conference when it appears there is no clear favorite on either side.
On Saturday, things kick off with a pair of NFC matchups. A few weeks ago, it looked like the Los Angeles Rams may be the Super Bowl favorite, but after losing two of their last
three, they’re in the fifth seed and have to go on the road to take on the Carolina Panthers. Carolina fell their way into a playoff spot despite losing a pivotal Week 18 matchup, so it’s no surprise that the Rams are heavy road favorites.
But the main attraction happens Saturday night on Amazon Prime. It’s an NFC North showdown between a team the Detroit Lions swept and a team that swept the Detroit Lions. The Bears try to continue their Cinderella season and prove the doubters wrong in their first year under Ben Johnson. But they’ll have to do so against their biggest rivals. The Packers probably should have beaten the Bears twice this year, but a miraculous comeback from Chicago helped them clinch the division. Now it’s time for the rubber match.
