Victory Monday, no matter how it comes, is oh so sweet for Cleveland Browns fans. A little extra sugar is added to that treat when the win is over an AFC North rival, maybe even especially over the Baltimore Ravens.
Unlike many years in the past, the Week 6 win over the Ravens wasn’t just a fun thing. Instead, it established the Browns in first place in the AFC North and gave them two wins in the division, a huge tiebreaker in division and playoff standings. What does the win mean when it came from
a game where most fans assumed a loss was coming and the play on the field was less than amazing? You can tell us in DBN’s Feed:
What it also means is that Cleveland sits in one of the top four spots in the AFC playoff picture, just a game behind the two-seed in the division. With Monday Night Football being between two NFC squads, the Browns have the fourth seed in the AFC playoff race locked in place going into Week 7:
AFC Playoff Picture after Week 6
- Kansas City Chiefs: 5-0
- Buffalo Bills: 5-1
- Jacksonville Jaguars: 4-2
- Cleveland Browns: 4-2
- New England Patriots: 4-2
- Denver Broncos: 4-2
- Pittsburgh Steelers: 4-2
- Baltimore Ravens: 4-2
- Cincinnati Bengals: 3-2
- Las Vegas Raiders: 3-3
- New York Jets: 2-4
- Indianapolis Colts: 2-4
- Houston Texans: 2-4
- Tennessee Titans: 1-5
- Miami Dolphins: 0-5
- Los Angeles Chargers: 0-6
The Jaguars own the tiebreaker over the Browns for the third seed, while Cleveland owns tiebreakers over both Baltimore and Pittsburgh for the AFC North lead.
Besides the Browns spot, what jumps out to you when you look at the list above?
