In somewhat of an incidental procedural move the day after beating the Rams in Los Angeles, the Buffalo Bills have made a swap on their roster.
Anthony Kendall, who was signed — not elevated — from the practice squad before the Week 5 Monday Night Football contest against Sean McVay’s club has been released.
A long-time Chief turned Bills training camp and preseason star was re-added in his place:
Nothing against Kendall, he actually
reasonably held his own against the Rams, but Danna is a veteran pass rusher with loads of playoff experience. He has two Super Bowl rings.
Wallace, 26, made his Bills debut against the Rams, logging those 31 snaps as the primary nickel cornerback. He NFL debut came back in 2023 with the Titans, the club that signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Baldwin-Wallace.
Ian Rapoport reported earlier today the Bills hope to sign the veteran back to their practice squad if he clears waivers.
Danna provides the Bills solid edge-rushing depth and experience even playing on the inside of the defensive line. He filled in along Buffalo’s defensive front in Week 2 against the Lions when Ed Oliver was a surprise inactive after hurting his hip during warmups.
In that game, Danna generated two pressures on his seven pass-rush snaps.
Now he’s back on the Bills 53-man roster.
