Indiana football offered Ifeanyi Emedobi, an in-state edge rush prospect out of Fort Wayne, back in April. Now his recruitment has moved onto the next stage.
Emedobi has an official visit to Bloomington scheduled for June, per his social media. He’s rated as a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite, ranking in as the 36th highest-rated edge and 431st highest-rated prospect overall. He ranks in as the 43rd highest-rated edge and 447th highest-rated prospect overall in the Rivals Industry Ranking.
He’s the 10th highest-rated prospect in the state by both recruiting services.
He’s attracted interest from other Big Ten programs including Penn State, Minnesota and Michigan alongside Notre Dame.
Indiana currently has four commitments in the class of 2027 and Emedobi, should he ultimately choose to join the Hoosiers, would be the first along the defensive line. The Hoosiers’ staff has emphasized long-term building through the high school recruiting pipeline while adding immediate contributors through the transfer portal, as the Hoosiers did this offseason.
