The Dodgers were hit by the injury bug again, as left-hander Blake Snell left Wednesday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds early due to left groin tightness.
Snell completed a scoreless first inning, facing the minimum after picking off first baseman Sal Stewart following his two-out single. Snell tossed just 19 pitches on Wednesday, allowing just one hit and striking out one before departing early. Blake Treinen replaced Snell for the bottom
of the second inning.
If this marks the end for Snell’s 2026 regular season, he’ll finish with a 4-1 record and a 1.86 ERA, striking out 52 and walking 16, tallying 38 2/3 innings over eight starts. Snell did not allow a single home run over his eight starts.
